‘The Unconscious’

Figures and body parts in my works are hollow, empty and distorted whilst others are somewhat realistic, and are derived from the inconsistent nature of differential experiences in my dreams. How the figure and the body looks, reacts and is perceived in a dream often contradict with its representation in the real world. Lucidity in dreams leans on the notion of conscious awareness whilst our bodies remain immobile, creating a dynamism that separates the physical and the psychological.
